I was disappointed with this bottle (1.5 l). It was acceptable but the balance was off. Basic flavors were the but a grabbing tartness hit a few seconds into the taste. It didn't destroy the wine but it restricted its potential

This is the second of this wine I have tasted this year and it’s really disappointing. Even my son who is learning his wine craft correctly turned his nose up at this wine. I am glad I have no more of these in my cellar.

First of 6 bought on clearance offer. Colour bright mid red. Very ripe fruit on nose some mature notes. More northern Rhone than Aus despite ripeness. Fruit less opulent on palate and there is good acidity to balance. Fully ready and a good glass at the offer price.

To my taste this is outright disgusting. If you don't consider smoke taint a defect though, or even enjoy it, this should be right up your alley. Smells like a burned down jam factory. Burned rubber, ashes, overripe blackcurrants and plums. Dry on the palate with a medium acidity, medium body, good intensity and a medium finish.
Won't score. Personally somewhere around 75P, but looking at it objectively I'm sure it would end up at about 85-87.

Hard to believe this wine was rated so high. Not my style. Tasted almost corked on day 2. Black upon opening. Nose was off. First tasting wasn't bad with dark musky hints of Aussie berries.

The nose has a lot going on with plum, cherry, ripe stems , savoury oak and a touch of cinnamon.
The palate continues where the nose left off with dark cherry and savoury plum combining with vibrant acidity and firm but fine tannins. The tannins and acid frame the wine well and underwrite it's cellaring future.
The long finish shows good complexity with spice and dark berry fruit. Review Link - www.winereviewer.com.au (drink by 2025)
