Excellent aromas of jammy boysenberry. Creamy vanilla and smokey character. Soft and round with a big dark berry fruit flavors and a long finish. Really good at an exceptional price.

Deep dark purple color; porty-sweet nose with spice, wet leaves, and dark berry fruit. Smooth mouthfeel; decent acidity; medium-long finish. It seems like someone meddled a little too much during the winemaking process. Nonetheless, a decent value petite sirah.

A big nose of dark fruit and spice, dark black in color. A full bodied tooth staining PS, with blackberry, blueberry, cola and spice, nothing elegant, just for those who enjoy a big wine, very good QPR.

Enjoyed this with Pat and Devika (at a Code Red gathering at Mere Bulles). Popped n poured. Dark, inky in the glass. Nose promised a FRUIT BOMB and it delivered. Dark fruits, red, black with some spice. Perhaps a bit too sweet... I enjoyed it but can only recommend it as a favorable QPR Petite. May go back for another bottle - if planning to taste with fruit bomb devotees.

I really enjoyed this wine. Deep, dark and intense for a sub-$10 offering. The nose showed baked plum, extracted blackberry and rubber. The palate was full bodied and delicious. Along with generous helpings of dark berry fruit I found a touch of liquorice.

The wine had been stored in the garage and due to the cold weather was too cold and was not enjoyable. Next bottle was brought to room temp and was much better

Lots of spice, mocha and toasty hazelnut aromas lead to a rich, supple, polished core of blue and black fruits with enough tannins to hold everything together nicely.

Good QPR even though I paid about $2 more than the CT Community Average price of $10.30. Nice, authentic-tasting. Decanted and then each pour went through the Vinturi. I'd buy this again.

Good morning wine lovers! Well, that might be a bit too optimistic but I felt like writing a tasting note about a wine I find good and which is also less pricy than the ones I normally rate. The 2009 McManis Petite Sirah is nicely crafted revealing a nose of blueberries, fresh figs and raspberries. The oak is expressed through tones of vanilla powder and the tannins take a firm but pleasant grip. Mid-palate is a bit thin but the end-palate is nice and pleasant. Finish lasts some 35 seconds. I would not say the wine is "well integrated" because the different components are rather edgy and very visible but at the cost (99 SEK = 10 €) this is somewhat of a bargain. Pairs well to rustic casseroles like Boeuf Bourgignon.

Very fruity, almost like an amarone.. Good roasted oak, sweet almost like jam.. I would say it’s a good wine well worth its money.

Mycket vin för pengarna. Mycket bärig smak med ganska lång eftersmak och balans. Drack den till en saftig köttbit. Ingen dålig kombo alls.
