Grand Puligny mature !

Golden yellow in colour, yellow fruit, bubblegum, slightly smoky and mineral on the nose. On the palate good weight and concentration, well balanced despite its richness, a little broad towards the finish maybe. Lovely length. 91-93

Blind, medium yellow, tight almost closed notes of oxidized bruised apples, ending on a short and dull finish. Once unveiled, second time in a couple of weeks I am disappointed with overpriced Burgundian whites which do not seem to be aging gracefully. Tastes like it is already over the hill after 10 years of age. Sad to say drink now and perhaps past it’s prime, a major disappointment. I honestly would use for cooking instead.
Medium golden color. At first beautifully perfumed, with notes of sweet spices, yellow stone fruit, white flowers, chalky minerality, some flintstone, some buttery notes too and some nuts. It‘s medium-full bondied, dense but without being heavy, has superb medium-high acidity providing tension and freshness and very good length. Over the course of the evening traces of TCA were sneaking in and it got worse over the course of the evening. At the end it was undrinkable. I have never had it like this before... weird.

Pale yellow in colour. Creamy on the nose, hints of oatmeal, ripe yellow stone fruit, minerality. On the palate quite intense and vibrant despite good ripeness and weight. Very detailed and layered, very long. Excellent. 92-93+

Very elegant and uptight, opens up to beautiful layers of complex minerality and acidity, still a young baby now, very much like a proud French girl from a rich family. Good potential, lasts for days, finally opened up to mango cake aroma.

Puligny-Montrachet les Pucelles - blind tasting 1998-2011: Lemon, minerals, ouster shell, a bit of age, but stays crisp. Medium complexity.

Zachys BYO Lunch in Burgundy (1243 Bourgogne Society - Beaune): Small glass, brief note. Also ripe and opulent that is wonderfully floral with moderate weight and length, then a slightly sweet finish.

Probably should've waited a few years as this seemed flabby. Nice nose though. Hold.
