Nose was reluctant sweet honey. Sweet and buttery palate balanced with a crisp citrusy tropical fruit. Evolves to an anise based finish that has something like tar at the end. Big, disjointed, bossy and compelling. Perhaps would benefit from a year of incarceration. 13.5% alcohol. 87

Some camphor and a bit of herbs with the fruit on the nose. Tart Raspberry, sweet cherry palate. Mild medium finish has grip. Sooo much better than last bottle. Drinking above the $23 price. Served at 65 deg this time.
