TASTING NOTES: light lemon yellow in color. Fresh nose of white flowers, ripe pear, and a hint of almond and honey. The palate is ample and round, with strong mineral traces of flint. Good balance, well-structured and still fruity with lots of white peaches in the mix. Lively acidity that hangs in there with the long, harmonious finish. Palate is dry, med+ acidity, med- alcohol, med body, med+ flavor intensity. FOOD PAIRING: This would go well with most fish and hard cheeses.

Probably opened this about 8-10 years early, but I just love this producer in this vintage. Always better on day 2. TASTING NOTES: Deep ruby in color, leaning towards the purple side. Intense primary nose of plums, black cherries, thyme, and some crushed rocks. The palate is strong, full-bodied, and concentrated, with flavors of sweet, ripe red and purple fruits. Long finish of the same fruits with a nice freshness at the very end. This wine is dry, med acidity, med alcohol, med+ tannins, strong flavor intensity, full body. This is very nice bottle of wine. Not typical of the region, but oh so very good! The tannins need another 5-10 years to integrate, but still fine to drink now. Just decant a few hours, or Pop and wait until day 2 to drink. Food pairings are all the classic meat dishes. This wine can definitely hold its own against them all.
TASTING NOTES: Straw yellow color, heading to golden hue. Medium+ primary nose of tangerine, lime, melon, and jasmine. The palate is full and fat, with ripe peaches, white flowers, and more of the lime. I’m getting minor hints of apricot and honey, so the wine is just starting to convert some of its primary flavors to tertiary ones. Medium length citrus and minerality at the end, with acid keeping up to sharp finish. This wine is dry, med+ acidity, med- alcohol, medium flavor intensity, full body. Very good wine that is just starting to give hints of maturing flavors. This wine would go well with a white meats, mushroom dishes, and goat cheese - maybe even an Asian ginger beef/chicken dish that doesn’t have any heat.
