In short: delicious and complex. Sour cherries up front, cigar box and some leather underneath. I didn't note as much dark fruit or spice as others. However, many have commented on the unusually bright acidity for a wine of this age, and I definitely found that as well. It paired beautifully with sauteed duck breast. I decanted 90 minutes before pouring. An extra 30-45 minutes would have been ideal. This bottle was one of two purchased from the LCBO in Toronto back in the early 2000s. It was worth the wait.

Fig and stewed prune, Christmas cake spice (clove in particular) and some leather. Lots of power left after 22 years, but hard to imagine this being any better than it is now. Delicious and worth the wait.

A silky beauty. Notes of pomegranate and ripe raspberry. Served with Wiener schnitzel, rösti and Caesar salad for my daughter's 20th birthday. Domaine Bruno Clair generally doesn't disappoint and certainly didn't this time.
