I enjoyed this half bottle at Yarrow Bay Grill in Kirkland, WA. This Barolo showed a little tight upon opening, but responded very well to about 30 minutes open to the air. The bouquet was a little astringent upon initial opening, but yielded to a wonderful nose of bright fruit berries and a hint of dark chocolate. Within 30 minutes, along with a vairety of appetizers ranging from curried crab cakes to a spinach salad with gorgonzola cheese and pears, this Barolo improved steadily and became a wonderfully balanced wine that well represented the varietal and the vintage. Overall, I was impressed enough to want to source some additional 750ml bottles for my home cellar. I think that this will be a wonderful Barolo from 2006 - 2010.
