I've been blessed knowing John Bell of the now-closed Willis Hall Winery and having the chance of tasting some of the older wines of all types in his cellar. This was one, and it's among the best (so far) of the vintages of older Washington Cabernet Sauvignons. Slight browning and age shows in the nose. But its acidity and fruit still come thru in the taste along with a modicum of tannins. On the downside but still good!

Deep red color with very slight bricking at rim. Aromas of black fruits, mocha and wood spices. Ripe, fully-integrated fruit in the mouth with very good depth and length. Nicely suave and long on the palate. At far side of peak drinking period.

Still fully intact and similar to the 4/5/18 bottle. Drink up!

Great nose with good aged flavors on the first glass, fading on the second. A decent drink but don't dawdle, because time's up.
