very, very solid! Reminded me of sitting in the region, on a vineyard and drinking a beautiful bottle if wine (ah... Memories of last summer)! Anyways, tasting notes... This is a well done wine. Not over powering, medium strenght, but very good depth. Nose has an earthyness to it. First taste is earth, and tannins. 30 minutes later dark fruit, mostly cherry; with a good hint of sweetness (cola?)... Multilayered and well rounded- 1-3 years to go in bottle would be even better but very good now. Paid $34 at winechateau. Fair price for solid brunello. Will try 2004 and compare.

Fantastic value fro price. $10!!. Have had 2 bottles on 2 different occasions. Both wonderfull. 89-90 points. Comprable to the reserva and not too far behind the gran reserva to be honest. Tasting notes: somewhat thin but balanced. Needs 1 hr of decanting. Dark fruit mostly plum. Some tart cherries late. Fair nose. Good flavor and mouth feel.

Purchased this from the Library for $24. Needs atleast 1-11/2 hours to start opening up. Decanted about 3-4 times and then waited for a while to open up.
Tabacco, tabacco and more tabacco on the nose and mid palate. Also some pepper. Some dark berries and cheries. Well rounded, smooth but tight. 3 years in the bottle as punishment and I see good things happening. Will try it again tomorrow after 24 hours open to see if it opened up completely. A definite positive for any cellar at its price range.
