The first of my three Cos 2003 … I have been patient and it was worth it. Opened in the morning for dinner but no decant. Very dark fruit with some tobacco and leather, lush, great length. The tannins are still there and I will likely wait for a couple of years before opening the next on as it should further evolve. Quite a treat with marinated pork filet mignon over the BBQ … Life can be good with such a superb Saint Estèphe !
#3 out of a 12 bottle case. It keeps improving. I uncorked the bottle around noon for a dinner tasting. Great nose first with a flurry of black fruits. Somewhat spicy and a hint of tobacco. Palate is already deep and balanced although still young. Still black fruits ... Tannins are smooth and it did linger nicely. I believe there is more to come with this CLD.

Perfect timing to enjoy this great bottle. Very dark with some sediment ... Nose is very rich and opulent, a bit herbal but mostly blueberry. Intense raisin sweetness with some oak. Chocolate and a twist of liquorice during the finish. A great experience altogether for a reasonable price tag.
