Beautifully integrated. Showing no hint of its fruit forward youth, instead bragging about its well-developed 2ndary character and showing much more like an aged old-world syrah with lots of animal fur, smoke, pepper and bacon fat led by a baked black and blue fruit pie. Outstanding and a game-changer for what my idea of ageworthy Shiraz can do.

Vegetal notes in the form of eucalyptus integrated very well into the wine. First tasted in Margaret River 2006 at the winery; very tannic and backward. Current tasting drew out better 2ndary qualities, and the wine is very well integrated at this time. Def. still has some breadth to grow for a few more years.

Brilliant gold with watery rim. Clean, with toasted brioche, baked apples, lemon curd, hint of brine.
