Very much enjoyed this guy. Drinking well now and will be served well by its acidity over the next few years.
Pale cherry color, not opaque; bright red fruit nose, strawberries, grassy, a bit funky; light body, medium+ acidity, light if any tannins; dances on the palate with bright red fruits, strawberry, light black pepper bite, some funky grass yet still polished and certainly not rustic; medium finish on a bright note. Very lovely wine that would pair well with a humble meal of light cured meats and cheese, or a dressier salmon dish. Pop and pour serves well, does not benefit from significant air; serve at room temperature or slightly chilled.
$25.

This checks a lot of boxes for me in the daily drinker category. Great wine here. Big and a bit tough at this point. Give it a 60-90 minute decant or, ideally, a few more years to unwind.
Medium-plus acidity, medium-light body, bright red fruit and cherries that dance in the mouth, coupled with some earthy Morgon notes and a bit of pine freshness. Unremarkable finish.
$26.

Woah, kick in the ass of acid up front. Mellows out some. In terms of acidity, this could age for many more years but I'm not sure you'd have a lot leftover when it's "ready." Would drink now over the next year. Give it some air.
Light amber, clear through, minimal green glints; nose of gasoline, lavender candies, some wet asphalt; high acid, medium body, medium sweetness (low for spatlese); mouth of passionfruit, minimal gasoline, some herbal notes, a bit of the lavender candies, but a bit too muted overall; medium-short juicy finish.
$38 from Garagiste. I'd happily drink again but not at this price.
