This bottle is curiously good for an American BdB, it is a clean drinking, fruit forward, slightly green bubbly. Palate shows notes of green apple and baking spices with a slightly vanilliated retronasal note. It finishes with hints of tropical fruit; lychee, mango and papaya.

A little disappointed upon opening. Beautiful Earthy, barnyard nose with nice mineral/graphite notes. A bit of a let down on the palate with a light body, muted fruit tones and not matching the minerality on nose. After an hour in decanter this wine grew teeth to match the nose. The tart cherry and berry came out, it gained some weight on the palate and started drinking more like I would expect from a good Burgundy with a few years of age. Definitely let this open up for at least an hour before drinking.
