  Appearance: Clear, cherry color trending to garnet at the edge, medium dark intensity. pale color to edge
  A&B: Cherry, smoke, strawberry, old oak, rose Powerful intensity and fine character
  Taste and Texture: Dry, smooth-, fresh acid, full flesh, medium-full absolute body, generous alcohol and balanced tannin. Average+ and pleasant intensity of flavors = cherry, red raspberry, prune, pepper, dust, mushroom, oak. Correct balance. Pleasant, long finish.
  Overall = very good.

  A little disappointed upon opening. Beautiful Earthy, barnyard nose with nice mineral/graphite notes. A bit of a let down on the palate with a light body, muted fruit tones and not matching the minerality on nose. After an hour in decanter this wine grew teeth to match the nose. The tart cherry and berry came out, it gained some weight on the palate and started drinking more like I would expect from a good Burgundy with a few years of age. Definitely let this open up for at least an hour before drinking.

  Very pleasant wine. A full bodied Burgundy enjoyable to the last drop. Still got the magnum for later. Recommended, drink ik now (2012).
