  • 2013 Graffito Malbec

The first reaction is that deep earthy, flowery and oaky smell which when tasted first leads to a complex combination of berries, plum, cherries, currants and a lingering herby spicy aftertaste. Upon the second taste the vanilla jumps out with a tiny cocoa beans smattering. The medium body stays strong throughout and after some food you feel like tasting all over again. Goes great with a vegetable or turkey dish!

Immediately, one is struck by the heavy spicy aroma and is shocked after first taste that the spices do not materialize in bulk and are left with a black pepper taste ‘on top’. Within the body itself lies a host of hints most evident being rosemary, thyme and mushroom with a lingering coriander aftertaste - hi, there might be a cherry or blackcurrant thrown in there...overall have with a good meat dish as the full bodied texture will make it a great accompaniment.

  • 2012 Ryder Estate Pinot Noir Rosé

Firstly we have to say that this was a very good wine and worth indulging in with a deep ruby color and multiple legs. After you smell, you get a strong ‘peppery’, cherry perfume with a accent of plum and blackcurrant. Then with tasting it reminds us of a Beaujolais, with a medium body and the hints of spices and a little anise - most enjoyable was that long aftertaste. Overall we recommend for accompanying seafood and a good cheese....
The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle.
