Dream wine: Wine from the wedding feast at Cana which Jesus had transformed from water. The banquet master/sommelier exclaimed it was the best wine (John 2:1-10)
I am a collector of moments. Each bottle captures an experience with stories to be told. I will only write about experiences I rate 90pts and above here.
2013 Moss Wood Cabernet Sauvignon

Earthy bouquet yet fresh clean sensation.
On the palate is cherry compote and raspberries. Still some years ahead.

2017 Wild Duck Creek Shiraz Pressings

I know I shouldn’t be opening this too young, but it was calling out to me. Maroon with dark crimson hues. Rich and decadent. Rich berry fruits, plums, vanillin on the nose. The palate has sticky plums and blackberry plus some marzipan on the finish. Lovely wine and I look forward to see how the other bottles develop.

2017 Wild Duck Creek Shiraz Springflat
9/10/2019 - Dom K Likes this wine: 97 Points
Initially closed but by second day had blossomed- On the nose there is fresh cucumber, raspberries and subtle hints of iron? Palate is packed full of jammy berry fruits, and like all other vintages- beautifully textured. Silky smooth. Long pleasant finish. Utterly enjoyable.
