Decent enough wine. I think the Shiraz dominates the Cabernet somewhat, though there is enough tannin backbone to provide balance. The fruit is quite intense with blackberry and blueberry. Has a few years to go yet.

Enjoying this at the Lindeman’s Restaurant Baume. Jooby fruits, sticky blue and blackberries. Fruit forward with hints of marzipan in the background. Touch of spice on the finish. A couple of years has made all the difference.

2012 Sydney Royal Wine Show - Exhibitor's Tasting (Olympic Park, Homebush): Silver medal. {screwcap} Young. An attractive branch/herb note runs through a nose of ripe red fruit. It’s a big mouthful of fruit initially, with medium powdery tannins but only low acidity, but then everything fades very quickly down to a short-medium finish. It’s not unbalanced; it just lacks either stuffing and/or complexity, depending on your prejudice. Nose is fine, palate’s a disappointment. Lindemans Coonawarra continues its form slump…

Medium red in colour, the nose has nice aromatics of ripe plum and rich oak influences.
The palate is youthful and medium bodied, plum is given a licorice twist and a touch of spice, with darker berry fruits and pepper evident on the long, elegant finish. Review Link - www.winereviewer.com.au (drink from 2014-2020)
