An absolute delight and unequivocally in the drinking window. Not sure why James gave this a low silver - perhaps the complexity, perhaps because it is not left bank enough. But right on with regional typicity, mint and black fruit, plush and accompanied by velvety tannins. Balance, length and intensity - perhaps just lacking complexity of flavours. Stunning and great way to end the week!

Plush red and black fruits under a veil of cigar box and vanilla. Simply outstanding. Soft but firm tannins supported by a good dose of acid and then blackberry, black plum and some sweet spices. Entering the drinking window but has years ahead still.

Tasted blind. Medium, ruby with a medium intensity of vanilla, red currant, baked plum, chocolate and some spice (cloves) - hint of VA - some oak treatment evident. Dry wine, with med+ acid, med tannin - chalky, high alcohol, medium body and medium flavour intensity of raspberry, red plum, caramel. Med+ finish. Good wine and suitable for further aging, perhaps 3-5 years.
