First day this was fine. Clean nose and palate, but felt a little flabby for my tastes.
Recorked and tried again the next day. The acidity really came to forefront and more classic profile overall. Citrus, oyster shell, crisp, and chiseled. Maybe it was just something going on with me, but much more in line with other notes on day 2.

More a grower style sparkler. Glera (at least 90%) with the remainder of Bianchetta and Perera.
Sweet floral, somewhat fruity, and even rich notes on the nose contrast well with the palate full of crisp, dry, and lean notes, mineral/acid driven, but still complex. Some lees influence, but more on the texture than the flavor profile.
Actually drank like an extra brut.

It’s 100% Cannonau (Grenache), which I approach with caution as so many of them are overripe, silk smooth, and hot.
This one has plenty of dark ripe fruit, but enough earthy rustic notes to round it into balance. Full bodied and concentrated flavors and definitely has a little heat on the back end. Fruit up front, quickly followed by a herbal/licorice note, dried herbs, then those fade back into a blue/black berry note with some wood spice on a very long finish.
Excellent pairing with duck confit.
