  PnP for two hours at Straight Wharf Restaurant. The 2022 Bloom’s Field opened with a stunning bouquet of crushed rose petals, herbs, and dark cherry. The medium-bodied palate delivered layered red and purple fruits with nuanced notes of leather and mint, showing impressive depth and balance. Exceptionally smooth and Burgundian in style, with a refined structure and a long, elegant finish. 94-95

  PnP for 2 hours to pair with our Sungold Tomato Pasta. Positively banging pairing. Had to double decant to get this to open up quickly. Tannins were very firm upon opening. After an hour this was singing with all the silky, ethereal elements I love in Roagna wines. Long finish, ballerina like, beautiful showing. 95-96

  PnP for 3 hours alongside the ’20 Roagna Pira, the Pajé showed a more savory, lifted profile with bright red fruits accented by flashes of smoked meats and iron. It, too, was a bit of a roller coaster over the night, alternating between moments of tension and openness, though always retaining a sense of balance. Ultimately, it proved highly enjoyable, carried by the silky texture I love in Roagna’s wines. 93-94
