Ruby red color. The nose I get initially black cherry, Welch’s grapes, a bit of jamminess, and plum. Oak is present secondarily on the nose along with floral notes and dry roasted coffee. The palate is more savory with tobacco, leather, plum. Acid is medium plus with some tannins but not overwhelming at all. Interesting wine. Would go well with a steak or a bbq. My favorite of the “off the beaten path” wine collection, but still would not say this stands up to a napa cab.

Red-purple color. Initially the nose has strong black cherry, some Coke, black pepper, and a little green, green olive. On the palate this is highly acidic, medium plus body, and fairly tannic. The finish is licorice, plum, black cherry. For me, the olive and licorice notes put me off but overall quality seems there for those who might enjoy these flavors.

Almost magenta color with some sunburst orange near the rim. Out of the bottle I get burnt marshmallows. But after it got some air time the fruit flavors came more forward. Raspberry, blackberry, white pepper, smoke, dried flowers. Taking a sip you immediately get pepper that engulfs the palate. Some red fruit on the finish, light tannins, medium high acid, but the body is on the medium spectrum. Could easily enjoy this with a bbq, chicken, or even smoked salmon.
