This was the 6th bottle of a 7 bottle night (with BTG interspersed throughout), and it's safe to say that I was completely torched by the time we got to this. All my notes say is: red fruit, rose petal, something about tannin. Thumbs up.
I'll have to find another bottle somewhere...

Ridiculous that this has held up so well. In reading other notes from 8+ years ago it seems that I found a real diamond in the rough because this was beautiful.

Generally I hate the term 'lush', but I really can't think of anything more accurate for this wine. This was a downright treat, drinking perfectly and still so precise. Lots of tropical and stone fruit here but what really did it for me was the citrus.
This wine took me right back to when I played football as a kid. There's an orange flesh & peel note in here that tastes exactly like half-time oranges. You're thirsty, you've run your legs off and you need a breather. Suddenly Jack's mum pulls out a tupperware brimming with the sweetest, juiciest orange segments you've ever tasted in your life... good times.
