Opened at Otto e Mezzo in Hong Kong. Decanted and enjoyed over lunch.
This was absolutely fantastic, especially as it began to open up with more air. More expressive, especially with regards to red fruit characteristics, than the younger Bruno Clair BMs that I have had - showing that this is a wine that rewards patience. Great structure as befitting of a BM, but effortless on the palate and going down very nicely. Pronounced minerality and acidity that played their role as supporting cast brilliantly, alongside tannins that were mostly resolved but still keeping everything together.
Wonderful wine, would love to try again. Excellent drinking window right now even though it should keep for a while, just make sure you give it some air!

Red fruit, clay, oak. Polished tannins, mid weigh, good freshness. The palate is classy like in som many 2010 but for a BM I wish for some more complexity.

Unfortunately the 2010 Domaine Bruno Clair Bonnes Mares showed some chocolately oxidation. It had menthol, cherry and spice notes but the wine’s detail had been planed off.

Very good but not as good as the reputation of the maker and appellation
