Blackberry, incense, medium intensity. Very nice young nose. Taste follows through with beautiful blackberry notes, firm grainy tannins integrated with the acidity. Broad and typical Beaune open flavors but with underlying spine to show this will age Really a baby drinking well with a tremendous finish. An open southern Cote de Nuits style. Very much apprecieated.

Light red slightly turbid. The smokiest nose I've ever smelled in a Jadot wine, to the point of bringing bacony Cote Roties to mind. Light to medium weight, dark red fruit, high acidity that is not completely in harmony, brambly finish with some astringency. This was a lot of fun to smell and had some nice qualities in the mouth, but the balance is not quite there and I can only see it losing its current appeal as the fruit dries leaving only the acid and wood behind.

Weekend at Zuli's; 2/16/2012-2/19/2012 (St. Catharines, Ontario): Decanted 1 hour, consumed over 2 hours. Medium ruby color, 13% abv. Nose of red cherry and raspberry fruit, coffee grounds, and wet gravel. Tastes of slightly underripened cherries and plums, with a slight peppery quality, medium bodied, tight tannic structure, would wait at least a year on future bottles. Nice QPR.

Blackberries, leather, smoke on the nose. Still some fruit in the mouth too. Bit too much acidity. Overall not bad for spring afternoon in the garden.

Double decanted a couple of hours before serving and the air really did this wine good. Nice cherry fruit, baking spice and great acidity.
