Deep amber-gold hue. Aromas of hazelnuts, almonds, and honey on the nose. The palate shows hints of white truffle, honey, and butterscotch underneath a heavy veneer of oxidation and some volatile acidity. This one is now a goner, definitely not a premature oxidation issue, just an oxidation issue. Farewell to my last bottle.

Nutty, slightly oxidative nose but not enough oxidation to really annoy us. Smoke & minerals on the palate. Getting old but Fred says it has drunk the same for 3-4 years.

Friday after Thanksgiving II (Palm Beach Gardens, FL): A bit oxidized but surprisingly nice with good citric character. Structure forward - should last on acid alone.
