Cork came out in 1 piece. Somewhat muted on the nose with very little fruit. Certainly not prematurely oxidized but this particular bottle had not held up all that well. mineral notes and acid were front and center with essentially no fruit to back them up. Showed best after about 1 hour of air but this was not especially compelling

San Francisco Wine & Food Society Dinner - Burgundy Grapes on a Sea Voyage (Waterbar, 399 Embarcadero, San Francisco): Yellow gold.....looks older. Nose is quiet.....not giving much, perhaps due to cold temperature. Palate is, oh, lovely.....crisp acidity of red apples, lots of almost flinty minerality. Very refined and crisp which helped it effortlessly cut through the slightly fatty bone marrow it was served with. Reasonable length but not as much as perhaps expected. My first experience of Sous le Puits, which is the highest elevation vineyard in Puligny-Montrachet and accounts for the minerality. Very enjoyable.

La Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin Dinner (Salt & Char Restaurant, Saratoga Springs, NY): [Removed from refrigeration at 4pm. Opened at 4:20pm. Tasted from 5 to 5:30.] Nose of butter and slate. Thick, rich, long and complex. Quite young, but the finish is long and buttery. Could improve for several more years.

Same as the 5/10/13 bottle. Consistently excellent and a great value.
