Tasted right after opening and after an hour decant, the palate and nose belie the light 13.8% alcohol. Underneath the alcohol is a pleasant but a tad overly tart smokey boysenberry. I wanted to like this one a lot more but the alcohol got in the way.

Expected the Carignane to be a little bolder. Good but not great and likely not get any better. Changing by end date to 2017 to be in line with other users and remind me to drink soon.

An Autumn day, the Browns just lost their 5th QB for the season, a pumpkin awaits carving, a steak awaits grilling, our dog is resting, but has an eye on us since that steak passed by... just noticed the Readiness to Drink gave this one a couple of months left, so Seghesio Island, here we come! Nice flavor, dark berries, loam, not the longest finish, but already starting to open up after a few minutes so will give it the anticipate hour to open (per prior bottle experience)

In a very good place. Good fruit, balanced. A distinct, pleasant quaff.

Drinking well right now. A little more acidic than 09 and 10's. Definitely cooler vintage, but like all Seghesio's, heat is prominent.
