Drank from a Coravin at a restaurant. Brown color, very herbal, and an unreal amount of tannins. Not overly enjoyable at this stage or just needs food.

Luca Currado presents Vietti (Formento's): 'Barbarolo.' Said someone. Red cherry and some grassiness on the palate. Medium plus tannin, shows some oak on the palate. Has big acid and lots of substance to the palate. Needs lots of time to unfurl.

Medium garnet. Discrete nose of rose petals, mint, tar, spices. Nice aromatics and good typicity. On the palate rather closed and tannic with racy acidity. Rather big, more like a Barolo. Difficult to judge this. A the moment the tannins are drying and the whole mix is almost painful to drink. Best not to touch this for a while and see how it softens. Very difficult to judge today. I am no expert on this wine so I don't know which way this usually goes. 90-94

Vibrant. Tannins are great and still with bite. Drinking very well now. Wait a couple of years before drinking again
