This was a gentle sort of wine that felt just right. I was worried it was too young but it is hugely enjoyable now and has time on its side. It starts with sweetish red fruits, quite round, then a sharper cherry undertone sweeps upwards and shows a cut of acidity. Great with venison, celeriac and roasties cooked in beef fat. With a few hours air it gains a touch of depth as it started on the thin side. Not bad at all.
