Asperg Wine Syndrome Tasting Group: Easter Edition 2024 (Asperg): Tasted blind blind. Clear pale golden color. Nose at first a bit lactic, some cheesy notes but also fine lime zests and fines toasting, very elegant. The lactic notes vanished with time. On the palate very lean and precise, high acidity, fine lime zests, wonderful mineral core, fine herbs. Deep, elegant and balanced. Long, fine finish. Really beautiful. 93-94

Pale shiny light gold with green tint. Citrus, green apple, oak, liqourice, ginseng, buttered popcorn, honeysuckle, remnant minerality and hint of salinity. Medium bodied, medium-high acidity, good structure, and Long finish. Good tension on palate.
Wine still look and tasted youthful, except for the emergence of the ginseng, liquorice flavors and the diminishing of perhaps once sharp minerality. Wonderful winemaking.

Drank this at a dinner party side-by-side two other 2013 Saint-Aubin 1er Crus (La Chatenière and En Remilly). Does it taste of stones? ;-) Maybe…again, this was great, just not as good as the En Remilly, It was very fun as they all really did taste quite different from each other.

CRiBS @ La T (La Trompette, London): Magnum. Lovely, slightly reductive classic PY nose. A touch of green freshness coming through too. Similar on palate, nicely mineral and quite long if not particularly persistent, with that green tinge to keep it nicely fresh. Very decent. ***1/2
