Appearance - Ruby color, clear @ edge, reflective, good body/legs - 3/3 Aroma/Bouquet - Cherry fruit, light alcohol/heat on the nose, some minerality, light cooked/nutty odor - 4.5/6 Taste - Cherry, light tannins, light alcohol/heat, some minerality - 4.5/6 Aftertaste - Mid length finish, cherry fruit continues, tannins fade, mineral/limestone fades, still some off taste - 2.5/3 Overall - This wine has an oxidized related flaw (not a fault), fruit and tannins are balanced, however the flaw hurts the overall score - 1.5/2 Note - This wine evaluation is based on the American Wine Society 20-point judging criteria, then interpolated into a 100-point score.

PHMG WAG: 2014 Oregon Pinot Noir (Lyon Den): A step up in density and depth from the Fairsing. Still mostly red fruit / cherry with some earth and spice showing on the finish. Now-2020.
