  Cherries, earth and leather. Good acid on the palate, and much more tannic than I'd expected. These 05's really pack a wallop! Not sure it will become any more complex, but it still seems to have plenty of life left. Drink or hold.

  dark, but turning mahogany, this is starting to show some tertiary notes alongside some dried cherry. Its a big style of Burgundy entering a nice window.

  Floral spices, blueberry, stony soil tones, light oak. Tart red fruit on the palate, with coffee, vanilla, game bird, mushroom. Firm tannins and acidity. Could still improve for 5 more years.

  Popped and poured. This wine is definitely trending in the right direction. Medium ruby color. Nose of damp earth, tobacco, red fruit and mushroom. Similar flavors on the palate with minimal oak. Medium+ acid and tannin, medium body. The tannins have started to soften on this wine and the fruit is showing through a bit more. My last remaining bottle will probably be held another 3-4 years but this is enjoyable now as well.
