Garnet to dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of fertilizer, black berries and black cherries. Flavors of black berries, black cherries and raspberries. Medium acidity, medium tannin, medium to full bodied. Drink now.

From D-Mag. Cork was soft but able to be removed in one piece. Wax capsule was critical to the wine's survival. Upon first opening, loads of sweet black cherries, blueberries and modest Oak (91 points). Unfortunately, as time passed the Oak monster emerged and swallowed the fruit. By hour 4 it was down to an (86). I doubt this wine is alive in 750ml format and Mags would be marginal.

Cork broke on me and had to strain...still deep red in color...not giving any hint of being an 18 year old wine...faint red fruit notes and muted tannins...smooth finish...glad to have finished my last bottle.

Drunk from magnum. Bought from the winery in 2002 and carried back to England then cellared. This was pristine, great levels. This has plenty of mileage left yet, probably another 5 years +

This is what I want in an old Cabernet…dark fruit and smooth with integrated tannins. This one may have even pleased the AFWE crowd on this night.
