Definitely past prime but still quite drinkable, with a fruity taste that lingered pleasantly on the tongue. The major problem with this was its nose, with a bit too earthy smell. A younger fume blanc would probably be better for any occasion. (Incidentally, I am partial to sauvingnon blanc, especially Mondavi's fume blanc.)

Nose : somewhat tight even after a couple of hours in the decanter. White flowers, white grapefruit and green leaves. Palate : Filling, somewhat buttery for a sauvignon blanc but really good. The acidity is a bit lacking but overall really good wine!

M&D: Wow! intense Grassy nose, tarragon, more int. and sharper mth than Jadis; Subtle (or not so sublte) oak, but well placed; pique at end: grt w/chicken & hominy soup.

Nice light yellow color. Buttery and citrus nose with a hint of nettle leaves. Balanced chardonnay with note of oak barrel and fruit with pear.
