Decanted for one hour and followed for several more. Darker translucent ruby color. Reticent nose of dark berry, damp cellar, floral notes, earth. Imploded on the palate with black cherry and raspberry making an appearance at the end of the evening, joined by earth and hints of currant. Longer finish of plum, earth, and grip. Excellent components but not giving much this evening.

First of six. Popped and poured. Medium ruby color. Fresh nose of alpine flowers, red raspberry, tea leaves, earth, and stone. Young and slightly austere on the palate but definitely accessible, yielding fine, pure layers of red raspberry, mulberry, black cherry, iodine, and iron particles. Nicely acidic with firm but integrated tannin. Longer finish of lithe red fruit and iron with grip at the end. Enjoyable now and all set to evolve very well over the long term.

Served blind, thought Burg but changed to Barolo, needed time in the glass but a rather masculine brash burg, probably needs a few more years

Bright black cherry fruit with a dash of cloves; dried herbs, violet and lavender aromas. Well balanced.
