From an ordinary vintage this particular bottle showed well. It was light of colour and body and had plenty of sous bois and beef stock aromas and flavours. There was a perfumed floral thread and it was round, sweet and vinous in the mouth with no hard edges.

Has some coffee notes to the aroma along with smoke, sap, root vegetables and beef stock. It is fresh in the mouth, without real Grand Cru depth but certainly enough interesting things going on to be more than just a curio. There’s a tart cherry crunchiness to the finish along with black tea tannins.
