From a perfect looking bottle provided by Zachy's this was impressive as actually slightly darker than the 2002 served along side. Quite similar in style, yet clearly more mature, this still had lots going for it and truly a treat and joy to drink at Les Nomades. Nice spiced fragrances and still sweet red fruit with impressive balance and finish.

A charming combination of certain rustic power with an elegance on the finish. Certainly the most impressive Lambrays I've had. Don't think these have much more left to give and would drink sooner than later.

Slightly rustic and masculine, though not without some charm. Seems to be holding on its plateau. Don't expect greatness, just a really nice dinner wine.

(Lambrays Clos des Lambrays) The nose is wide, mature, meaty and sweet - perhaps a hint of 3-day-old socks, but a nice package. On the tongue it's ripe and sweet with very faint oxidation in the background. The fruit is rather good and there's still an edge of tannin. Subtly long - an interesting wine to spend time with.

This showed it's 35 years of age and was on the tired side. Some interesting smoky earth notes, but overall, not a bottle to hold on to any longer.

La Paulée de New York Gala Dinner (Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers - New York NY): Small glass, brief note. Charming and enjoyable, but getting close to the end of its peak drinking window.
