Purple fading to garnet; rim variation consistent with age. Very good clarity. Medium + legs. Aromas are primarily red fruit: red currant, raspberry. More subtle are blueberry, baking spices and soy. Medium + body, smooth and polished texture. On the palate, blueberry & spices intensify; overall, palate intensity exceeds aroma. Medium - acidity. Long finish. Tasted over 4+ days. The finish had staying power. At $58 with tax & shipping, given 2021 cost of Napa Cab, QPR is average. Wine was purchased in 2006. A very special treat for the holidays. Elegant. Drink now. Be wary of the cork; ours crumbled and the last half had to be carefully extracted. Stood vertical for 3 days prior to opening.

Once again a let down. Drink now as this is in decline. Started with classic aroma's of a Cali Cabernet, but again it did not follow through with depth or balance. Lighter wine with cedar and cherry fruits that dominate the flavors.
It has a short to medium finish with no special notes other than its acidity which has begun to replace tannin notes.

Deep, garnet, earthy. Smooth, blackberry, dark fruit, plum, graphite. Nice finish. Considering the age, nice drinking wine. I think I enjoyed more than the community.
