Dark color; black pepper, lots of berries, herbs, garrigue, floral, deep and meaty; similar on palate showing good depth and old vine complexity and richness, tart dark raspberry, baby aspirin, talc like mineral, still some grip; a serious CdR that is very close in quality to CdP, still young yet delicious.

This may be the best cotes du rhone I've ever had. The candy-ish cherry and strawberry fruit is nicely balanced by animal funk, cinnamon, and Asian spices. Great winemaking here!

At Emirates lounge. Ruby with a purple touch. A bit too warm, unlike the Poliziano the 14.5 alc shows already on the nose, then a typical spicy and earthy Grenache nose and palate, a moderate touch of wood, fine tannins, medium finish. Solid.

Eurocentric (Ivy Bottle Shop, Sydney): warm, wet and fine, red fruit and black pepper. rather pleasant.

Easy young Cote du Rhone. Not too complex but enjoyable right now with a spice and ash note. Overall good.
