Decanted for 1hr 15 mins prior to tasting. Garnet red, with a touch of purple there. Not an overly strong bouquet, but maybe leather and cherry. A little jammy in the mouth, not overly strong on the palate and a shortish finish. This wine is ok, I paid $27 ish a bottle from memory, but feel there is better Coonawarra's out there at this price point. Maybe try again 2018 is my guess..

Oak dominant on the nose with earthy notes and blackberries. A true varietal character on the palate with minty tobacco, blackcurrant and juicy berries.

Clear dark ruby, a powerful young wine with lean dry tannins that produce a light puckering that perhaps over-balances the fruit at this stage. A long dry finish. Overall, an intense masculine wine that should achieve a better balance with a few years in the cellar.

Showing some bricking but still some life ahead. Lovely aromas of plum, blackcurrant casis and spice. Concentrated flavours
