Gold in color. 14.5% ABV. Brilliant nose of tropical fruits, lemon oil, vanilla and minerals. Medium to full bodied with bright acidity. Great viscosity and mouth feel. Pears, marzipan, honeysuckle and caramel apple on the palate. The finish is exceptionally long and supple. I had lost track of this wine in the cellar and did not intend to age for a decade but it is showing so well right now. What a treat. Best over the next year or so.

We don't drink this style of chardonnay anymore. In fact, this was the last bottle of CA chardonnay in our cellar. I found it enjoyable, but Ann didn't like it as she said it was too oaky. Honeycomb, brown spices, cream, baked apple and pear. Medium weight but there was a decent amount of acidity which kept it interesting to me. Kelly loved it.

Got better in the glass as time went on. Lush, but not tropical. Long finish. Very different flavor profile that Hawk Hill or Drake. Very enjoyable.
