Starts out a bit shrill and thin, but unfurls a bit over 3 hours. Charming crunchy red fruit, pretty florals, subtle menthol, savory roast duck and a whisper of five-spice. Still on the dilute and tart side to call it well balanced, but the purity of fruit and delicious secondary notes still make it a winner.

Initially closed but with air, opens up a bit with red berries and a lot of minerality and really nice acids. Palate follows with silky but earthy texture. Not sure if it went carbonic maceration. Fruit opens up more on day 2 and gains just a hair of weight. Still very light on its feet, though.

Light and exuberant, with almost-too-sweet fruit and strong acidity. A decent guzzler, but it lacks the harmony and cool of most French gamay I've had.

Red Fruity, crunchy, spicy, minerally, a bit of earth. Just nice.
