2 of 2 for me, and still showing a dense ruby coloring, maybe hinting a bit towards garnet. Aromas of dark fruit, earthy funk, soil, dried meat, mushroom, olive, black pepper, green pepper, and some floral presumably from the viognier. Fair amount going on there, which I'm quite enjoying. Medium body, acid, and finish, with flavors of black, dark red, and blue fruits, barrel spice, black tea, orange peel, lemon, and a little mineral. Worked well with a braised pork sandwich at lunch, and just as well hours later standalone. Really solid for the $15 I paid, and this has at least a few more years in it as well. 90+

Dark violet color with a purple core. Nose of blackberry, purple florals, pepper and tar. Similar flavors on the palate with dark berry fruit that was more fresh than baked or jammy. The floral notes and medium acidity kept the wine fresh and lighter than expected. Medium to medium+ tannin with a moderate finish. Not a whole lot of evidence of any new oak. Nice wine and good QPR.

I asked my wife this sunny but pleasant afternoon what the most and least likely thing I popped was, mostly curious about the least, and thinking she may likely guess it. When she guessed "Sauternes" I was like "damn, you still win; that's actually better than mine."
At any rate, the "balanced OZ shiraz" that was promised by previous reviews and Last Bottle was delivered here. Deep ruby coloring. Aromas of red and dark fruits, macerated cherries, black pepper, a good amount of soil, green pepper, tomato leaf, and a touch of heat. More interesting on the nose than palate, but still enjoyable, with medium body and acid, medium+ finish, and flavors of plums and cherries and spices. Thankfully no heat followed through. A nice syrah/viognier blend. Would work well dark fruit glazed pork/chicken or bbq.

Nice peppery nose hints of anise or pine mulch and berries. Pretty balanced nice weekday pop and pour for the price a real deal should have bought more and will if I see it again
