Oh so good smooth rich and dusty spice. Dense and creamy laden with deep cherries and brambly berries. Loved this bottle. Not a long term ager but still has some years left.

Game of Rhones (St.Kilda Town Hall, Melbourne): Old School Aussie Shiraz time! Ripe, concentrated blackberry fruit, perfumed elements here as well, vanilla, black cherries, chocolate. In the mouth the wine does have juicy acidity and then concentrated, dense, thick blackberry and cherry fruit. Medium plus intensity talc like tannin, plentiful alcohol warmth. Long. A beast...but tameable. needs a lot of time though. I rather like it.

'The Piece' is the name given to Longview's Reserve Shiraz produced each year, with the label proudly displaying the graffiti art of some of Australia's and the worlds best graffiti artists.
The wine is a deep red that is slighty ligher towards the rim, the nose has savoury dark fruits and a touch of licorice, the vanillin oak provides richness.
The palate is spiced, dense and layered with wonderfully textured dark plum and morello cherry fruit, the wine finishes with soft tannins, a touch of dark chocolate and lovely spices that linger.
