I have still yet to have a Peter Michael wine that I did not love. This man is making some of the most interesting wine in Napa and for a mostly reasonable price.

Decanted 2 hrs. A beautiful wine with very concentrated fruit, grilled meat, cassis, herbs and spice with nice balance. The tannins are soft and well integrated with long satisfying finish. Paired with grilled dry aged ribeye steaks.

Even better than the last bottle, and I really loved that one. Michael has really mastered this style, combining balance and grace with a full bodied, concentrated wine that is not cloying at all. We opened this up, let it breath for an hour or so, and finished over the course of a long lovely lunch paired with seared tuna and a burger. What a treat, I love this wine!

the intervening 4 years since the other bottle helped immensely. The tannins resolved, more balanced, less alcoholic, brighter and more precise.

Perfectly balanced at this point, needed just a bit of air to reach its peak. A peppery taste is a nice differentiator from some other Cabs.
