  • Concentrated black and red cassis, blueberry, and plum fruit. Dried underbrush, graphite and vanilla offer secondary notes. It is almost syrupy because it is viscous but very smooth. Oak is well integrated. Judging by my own description I’m not sure this style of wine would be to my liking, but I have to say it works…works pretty darn well. It is a hedonistic and opulent wine. Definitely has more life ahead, but I popped and poured and it was already drinking pretty well.

  • Just not my style. Its a blueberry milkshake buried in oak. Decanted for 2 hours and it didn't matter. Way too overextracted and buried in oak. I can understand how some like this style, but not me.
Glad i dropped off the list. Happy to give my place to those who enjoy the style.

  • Day 1: So tight, even after 4 hours in decanter. blackberry is really all that is there. Nice structure.
Day 2: More showing, but still so youthful. The blackberry has shifted to more of a boysenberry note. Some cedar is emerging on top of spice. minor band-aid note. long finish.
This needs a lot of time. I'm not sure I prefer the "Reserve" to the "Regular", but this is damn good!

  • I totally agree with the note from “PourMeSomeMore” - that assessment is spot on in my opinion. This is a wine that will show it’s stuff with bottle age. I would wait to open this Cab, it needs a couple more years. It really didn’t open up in a way that I anticipated it would. Definitely a finesse style, very tight and inhibited type of wine at this point, showing all primary fruit and cranberries at this stage. The last time I tried this wine was 3/2/2016 so not much has changed in my opinion from my previous notes. If I had to rate this wine it would score it in 90-92 point range with future potential.

  • Wait to open....needs a couple more years. Could not get this bottle to open up more than just a bit.
