Bit of a dark gold color; nose is really lacking here, muted, some pit fruit, some minerals, but not much else. Good medium rich body, silky, decent finish. NOt how I remember this. I have a feeling it is suffering from premature advancement, or poor storage. Color is indication of that. Disappointing compared to when I had it at the estate last year.

It is a Cru, comes from the name Contrada (sp?) which refers to a CHurch. They have offical Crus like in Barolo and Barbaresco. Authorized by Italian governement. So again, an official Cru.
More full bodied and waxy on the nose then the Etna BIanco. And then very fresh on the palate, all Caracante. From teh Arcuria vineyard. No skin contact, fermented in cement and 1,000 liter barrel. And released at two years old.
So it has the Caracante on the nose. And then really structured white wine I am being told. Like structured sea water I am further being told.
Good stuff.
