Second time I have had this wine. Mataro/Mouvedre is 60% of the blend Grenache and Carignan making up the rest. The grapes are sourced from vines planted between 1888 and 1922. Medium pink color. Loaded with strawberries. Perhaps even better than the last time I had it. 92 points.

9/16/2017 SPC Class WK3: California: Medium salmon color, moderate-weak aromas of lemon and tart cherry. Off-dry, with light body and lively acidity. On the palette, sour grapefruit. A little tart on acidity and flavor.

Still drinking beautifully. The fruit has mostly subsided, but plenty of acidity.

Decent attempt at a Bandol rosé. Hard to simulate from CA fruit. Missing some vibrancy.
