Just when I thought I couldn't like this wine more ...I do! Bottle #2.... On nose and palate : similar notes from bottle #1 last Autumn, but with added complexity, after a 2 hour decant :in addition to the fine balance of oak, citrus, melon, minerals and richness...are added, notes of faint, funky botrytis, brick dust and lingering ripe quince notes...moving into Domaine de Chevalier territory...almost...a superb companion to lobster, salmon and sea bass......at 5 years of age , maturing well.

Well.....first notes on this vintage. On nose: Charenton melon, toasted bread and citrus oil. On palate: all above flavour notes, with an expansion of the citrus spectrum , ranging through keffir lime, tangerine and pink Grapefruit , as it warms up after a 1 hour decant notes of present vanilla/ oak , walnuts , celery and a ghost of ginger , minerals and clean acidity weave into this bone dry , full bodied wine creating an aura of richness without sweetness .....a neat trick in a food wine....can age for a decade , but approachable now..
