I must say that I was extremely disappointed with the 2016 Plumpjack Reserve. Rated 100 by both Dunnuck and Wine Advocate, I certainly expected more. Aromas we’re fantastic…black cherries, oak, violets, graphite and pencil lead. Flavors were muted on the palate even after 2 hours in a decanter. I will likely sell my other bottles. Not impressed, especially for $330.

Tasted at the release party, just spectacular in its balance -acidity, alcohol, tannin, etc- and mouthfeel. One the best wines I’ve ever tasted, especially in its infancy. Pros are rating it 100 and I have to agree. Cannot wait to see how it evolves over the next 10+ years.
